Respite care (also known as ‘short-term care’) is a form of support for participants and their carers.

Respite gives carers the opportunity to take a break from the caring role while participants continue to receive the support they need.

Our respite service provides care for a few hours, overnight or longer.

RCR provides supports for level 1,2 and 3 ASD participants, especially in situations where there is or could be a risk of unhelpful behaviours."Unhelpful behaviour" is persistent behaviour that may place the physical safety of others at risk or that may cause difficulties and limit a person's ability to have a rich and fulfilling life.

Here at Ross Creek Respite, we are absolutely committed to providing supports that promote respect, diversity, inclusion, increases choice, promotes human rights and also equal opportunity.

Working with your specialists and advocates we strive to use evidence informed practices to develope routine, structure, reinforce boundaries and focus on capacity and resilience building.

RCR also works with families and other support networks to support the person to develop skills in order to reach their goals.

Teamwork and consultation is extremely important to RCR, we implement our supports consistently across and over time.

We understand that outcomes can only be defined by those who are receiving support-

Our experienced staff provide quality care and supports, one on one, two on one supports can be provided in a semi-rural setting.  Supports can also be provided in the community or the participants own home.

Depending on participants' circumstances, they may be eligible to access our services using government funding or with a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Plan.  Alternatively, participants can purchase our services with own funding.

We will ensure goals are achieved, allowing participants to enjoy improved health, wellbeing and quality of life.
